Overview
Light Tower Investments, Inc. is an asset management company. As a licensed commodity trading advisor and as a commodity pool operator we specialize in advisory and discretionary portfolio management on behalf of our investors.
Light Tower Investments, Inc. (LTI), a California C Corporation, is registered as a commodity trading advisor (CTA), as a commodity pool operator (CPO), and as a Forex Firm with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA).
We trade managed accounts and commodity pools available to domestic as well as non-US investors. The assets under management (AUM) will be invested by LTI executing proprietary trading strategies. These programs are automated systems that have been scientifically designed and back tested using historical data. It is our goal to generate high absolute returns in all market environments. The performance of the trading programs is typically not correlated to that of major stock and bond markets.

Managed Account
A Managed Account is an investment vehicle that is owned by an individual investor and looked after by a hired professional money manager. In contrast to mutual funds, which are professionally managed on behalf of many mutual-fund holders, managed accounts are personalized investment portfolios tailored to the specific account holder.
Commodity Pool
A Commodity Pool is an enterprise in which several individuals contribute funds in order to trade futures or futures options collectively. Commodity pools are analogous to mutual funds in that many investors pool their assets to gain the power to make trades that they could not make individually. Additional benefits include lower transaction costs and professional management as well as limiting the risk to the amount of funds invested in the pool.
Trading System
A Trading System is a logical set of instructions that tells the trader when to buy or sell a particular instrument. In an automated system, these instructions rarely require the intervention of a trader. The trade execution will be monitored by experienced professionals in real time to minimize data transmission or other technology based errors. Our rigorous and dynamic risk management is a very important component of all strategies.
Approach
Light Tower Investments utilizes a scientific approach in the creation of its trading systems. The strategies often incorporate trend following elements, regression analysis, and a statistical concept called mean reversion. Other programs attempt to exploit the premium decay in options as time elapses. All the strategies are technical in nature. Price is the most significant input variable. We do not use fundamental data such as weather, crop reports, or demand and supply forecasts.
